About This Tool

Keno Engine is a mathematical wheeling tool. It does not change the house edge, does not predict draws, and does not guarantee wins. It was built for players who are going to play anyway and want their tickets working together instead of against each other.

We're aware that keno — like all gambling — can become a problem. That awareness is part of why this page exists. If anything below resonates with you, please read it fully and reach out to one of the resources listed.

Warning Signs of Problem Gambling

Problem gambling doesn't always look like losing everything at once. It often develops slowly. These are common warning signs — not a diagnosis, but signals worth taking seriously:

  • Spending more than you planned or can afford to lose
  • Chasing losses — playing more to recover what you've lost
  • Gambling to escape stress, anxiety, depression, or boredom
  • Lying to family or friends about how much you gamble or spend
  • Borrowing money, selling things, or dipping into savings to gamble
  • Feeling restless or irritable when trying to cut back or stop
  • Missing work, family obligations, or important events because of gambling
  • Thinking about gambling constantly when you're not playing
  • Believing a system will eventually win it all back

If several of these apply to you, that's worth paying attention to — not because something is permanently broken, but because catching it early makes recovery significantly easier.

The most important thing to know: problem gambling is recognized as a behavioral health condition, not a character flaw or lack of willpower. Effective treatment exists. Most people who seek help improve. The first call or text costs nothing.

How to Set Limits Before You Play

The single most effective harm-reduction strategy is deciding your limits before you walk in — not mid-session, when it's hardest to stop.

  • Set a hard dollar limit. Decide what you can afford to lose entirely. When it's gone, leave. Not "one more game."
  • Cash only. Leave debit and credit cards in the car. ATM access mid-session is one of the most common ways limits get broken.
  • Set a time limit. Put an alarm on your phone. When it goes off, you leave — win or lose.
  • Never gamble money that has another job. Rent, groceries, bills, savings — off limits. This line, once crossed, tends to keep moving.
  • Don't gamble when you're emotional. Stress, loneliness, and anger impair decision-making and make it harder to stop.
